What is the best business internet for a small office?

It depends on what is actually available at your address, how many users and devices you have, and how much downtime costs you. Fiber is usually the first choice where it is available. Fixed wireless such as AT&T Internet Air for Business is often the fastest path where fiber is not available or a build would take months. Many offices end up with a primary circuit plus a wireless backup. We qualify your address before recommending anything.

Business Internet
How much internet speed does a 20-person business need?

As a working rule of thumb, plan for the concurrent load: video meetings, cloud apps, VoIP calls, file sync, POS and cameras. Most 20-person offices are comfortable in the mid-hundreds of Mbps with reliable upload, and cameras or heavy file transfer push that higher. Upload capacity and consistency usually matter more than a big headline download number.

Business Internet
What is the difference between shared fiber and dedicated internet?

Shared high-speed internet delivers strong speeds at a lower price with best-effort performance. Dedicated internet access provides symmetrical bandwidth and a service level agreement, which matters for businesses that cannot tolerate variability. Which one fits depends on your uptime tolerance and budget.

Business Internet
Do I need a static IP address?

You need a static IP if you host services, use certain VPNs, remote-access servers, run IP-locked point-of-sale or security systems, or need consistent inbound access. Most simple offices browsing the web and using cloud apps do not. We check your applications before adding it.

Business Internet
How much does internet downtime cost my business?

Use the ROI calculator at /resources#roi. It estimates exposure using your team size, hourly cost and revenue-per-hour, so you can compare that number against the cost of a backup circuit. It is an estimate only, never a promise of savings.

Business Internet
How do I build a connectivity backup plan?

Layer it: a primary circuit, a diverse secondary path (usually wireless on a different network type), automatic failover hardware, battery or UPS on the network gear, and a documented plan for who does what during an outage. Then test failover on a schedule instead of assuming it works.

Business Internet
Can you review my current internet bill and setup?

Yes. Request a Second Opinion at /resources#second-opinion. It is a no-obligation review of what you have, what you are paying and whether it fits your actual use. We make no claims about savings, speeds, coverage or availability until your address and requirements are qualified.

Business Internet
What is AT&T Internet Air for Business?

AT&T Internet Air for Business is fixed wireless internet delivered over the AT&T wireless network with a self-install gateway. It is commonly used as a primary connection where wired options are limited, as a fast interim service before fiber is built, and as a backup path for locations that cannot afford to go dark. Availability and performance are qualified by address.

Wireless & 5G
Can 5G business internet really support a small business?

For many small offices, retail locations, clinics and job sites, yes. It handles cloud apps, video meetings, VoIP and card processing well when the site has good signal. Sites with very heavy upload demands, strict SLA requirements or poor indoor signal are better served by fiber or a hybrid setup. Signal quality at your exact address decides it.

Wireless & 5G
Fiber vs wireless business internet, which should I choose?

Fiber wins on symmetrical bandwidth, SLA options and consistency. Wireless wins on speed of deployment, portability, and reaching locations fiber has not reached. The strongest setups often use both: fiber primary, wireless failover. See /internet/solutions for the full comparison.

Wireless & 5G
Can I use wireless internet only as a backup?

Yes, and it is one of the most common deployments we do. A wireless backup runs on a different physical network than your wired circuit, so a cut fiber line or a provider outage does not take your business offline. Pair it with a failover router so the switch is automatic.

Wireless & 5G
Do you handle business mobile lines and devices?

Yes. Business wireless lines, smartphones, tablets, hotspots, routers such as the Inseego Wavemaker FX4200, connected devices and mobile management. Visit /wireless for the wireless hub or call 480-269-2577.

Wireless & 5G
Do you support VoIP and POTS line replacement?

Yes. Copper POTS lines are being retired and repriced, and we help migrate voice, fax, alarm and elevator lines to modern alternatives. See the VoIP & POTS Upgrades option linked in the footer.

Wireless & 5G
How can AI actually help a small business?

The first wins are almost always unglamorous: answering repeat questions 24/7, capturing and routing leads instantly, drafting follow-ups and quotes, summarizing calls and meetings, requesting reviews, and cleaning up internal workflows. Start with one bottleneck that costs you money every week, automate that, then expand.

AI & Automation
What is an AI chatbot or AI receptionist and do I need one?

It is an assistant trained on your business information that answers questions, qualifies visitors and books calls without you being available. If you lose leads after hours or spend hours answering the same questions, it pays for itself quickly. Ask about GSS Connect AI for AI phone, receptionist and CRM.

AI & Automation
How do I find out if my business is AI-ready?

Take the free Business 360™ assessment at /business-360, or start the AI discovery flow at /ai-discovery. Both score your readiness and identify the highest-return next step instead of selling you a tool you do not need.

AI & Automation
Is my data safe when using AI tools?

It depends entirely on the tool and how it is configured. We recommend business-grade tools with clear data handling, avoid pasting sensitive customer data into consumer chatbots, and document what data an assistant is allowed to see. See /trust for our security and privacy practices.

AI & Automation
What are the GSS Insights and Business Intelligence Center?

The Insights Center at /insights is our live library of AI-assisted, human-reviewed articles on connectivity, wireless, AI, resilience and Arizona business. It includes Before & After scenarios at /insights/scenarios and free PDF checklists and worksheets at /insights/toolkit.

AI & Automation
What areas does GSS Wireless+ serve?

Our home base is Northeast Phoenix, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Payson and Rio Verde. We also operate a virtual and remote service area covering all of Arizona plus multiple states and cities nationwide, so location is rarely a limitation.

Coverage & Arizona
How do I check coverage at my address?

Use the Check for Coverage button in the site header, or run the internet check at /internet-check. Coverage and availability are always confirmed by qualifying the exact service address before anything is promised.

Coverage & Arizona
Is fiber available in Mesa, Gilbert or Chandler?

Fiber footprints in the East Valley keep expanding and vary street by street. If you live or run a business in Mesa, Gilbert or Chandler, ask us to check fiber options for your specific address before you assume it is unavailable.

Coverage & Arizona
Do you serve multi-location or out-of-state businesses?

Yes. We support multi-site businesses and out-of-state locations, and we work remotely with clients nationwide. Multi-location work usually starts with a site-by-site connectivity inventory.

Coverage & Arizona
How much does business internet cost?

Pricing depends on the technology, speed, term, location and whether you need SLA-backed service. We do not quote a number before qualifying your address and requirements, because a quote that ignores availability is not a real quote. Book a free consultation and you get real options in writing.

Pricing & Switching
Do you charge for consultations, audits or assessments?

No. The consultation, coverage check, Second Opinion, Business 360™ assessment, ROI calculator and toolkit downloads are free and carry no obligation.

Pricing & Switching
What current promotions or specials are available?

Promotions change frequently. Click the Specials button in the site header for the current list, or ask the chat assistant. Every promotion is subject to qualification, eligibility and provider terms.

Pricing & Switching
How does switching providers work and will I have downtime?

We qualify the new service, schedule installation, stage and test the new circuit in parallel where possible, then cut over and only then release the old service. Planned overlap is how you avoid downtime. Contract end dates and early termination terms are reviewed before anything is signed.

Pricing & Switching
Am I locked into a contract?

Terms depend on the provider, product and promotion you choose. We show you the term, the renewal behavior and any early termination language before you commit, so there are no surprises.

Pricing & Switching
What is the AT&T Guarantee?

The AT&T Guarantee is AT&T's commitment to connectivity you depend on, deals you want and prompt, friendly service, or they make it right. Details and current terms are published by AT&T at att.com/why-att/guarantee.

Pricing & Switching
Are you an authorized AT&T dealer?

Yes. GSS Wireless+ is an AT&T Authorized Dealer and an independent technology advisor. We do not own or operate the carrier networks, and all service, availability and pricing are subject to provider qualification and terms.

Support & Trust
What happens after I submit a form?

Your request goes straight to Keith and the GSS team, typically with a response the same business day. We confirm what you need, qualify your address if connectivity is involved, and send back real options. No spam, no selling your information.

Support & Trust
How do you handle my data and privacy?

We collect only what is needed to answer your request, we never pre-check consent boxes, and we do not sell your information. Full details are at /trust.

Support & Trust
Who do I contact for support after install?

Call or text GSS at 480-269-2577 and we help coordinate, including escalation with the provider. Direct AT&T Business support resources are also linked in the site footer.

Support & Trust
Can you help if I already have a provider and just want advice?

Yes. That is exactly what the Second Opinion is for. Plenty of clients keep what they have after a review, and that is a fine outcome. Understanding it first is the point.

How to Set Up Internet Backup and Failover

Keep the business running when the primary circuit fails.

  1. 1Identify your single points of failure: one circuit, one router, one power source.
  2. 2Add a secondary connection on a different network type, usually wireless.
  3. 3Install a router or firewall that supports automatic failover and failback.
